“Physik,” book three in the Septimus Heap Series, is one of the more complex books and involves a glass, the past, and clever humor. Septimus have been transported back in time through a glass to become the apprentice for an alchemist. The process of getting there is nearly as interesting as the mission itself. This book is another fantasy adventure, filled with the characters we’ve come to care for, magical objects, dragons (and dragon poop), and more. With the quirky storyline, the story itself is I would say one of the best books in the series.Tags : Physik (Septimus Heap, Book 3) [Angie Sage, Mark Zug] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The third book in the internationally bestselling Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage, featuring the funny and fantastic adventures of a wizard apprentice and his quest to become an ExtraOrdinary Wizard. New York Times Bestselling Series “Few fans of the best-selling Septimus Heap series will be disappointed.” —ALA Booklist

“Readers will be indubitably hooked—worrying,Angie Sage, Mark Zug,Physik (Septimus Heap, Book 3),Katherine Tegen Books,0060577371,Action & Adventure - General,Fantasy & Magic,Apprentices,Apprentices;Fiction.,Fantasy,Fantasy fiction,Magic,Magic;Fiction.,Time travel,Wizards,Wizards;Fiction.,CHILDREN'S FICTION FANTASY,Children's BooksAges 9-12 Fiction,Children: Grades 4-6,Fiction,Fiction-Fantasy,JUVENILE,JUVENILE FICTION Action & Adventure General,JUVENILE FICTION Family General (see also headings under Social Themes),JUVENILE FICTION Fantasy & Magic,JUVENILE FICTION Humorous Stories,Juvenile Fiction,Juvenile FictionAction & Adventure - General,Juvenile FictionRoyalty,Juvenile Grades 4-6 Ages 9-11,Monograph Series, any,Royalty (kings queens princes princesses knights etc.),Science fiction (Children's Teenage),Time travel,United States,Wizards,Wizards;Fiction.,JUVENILE FICTION Action & Adventure General,JUVENILE FICTION Family General (see also headings under Social Themes),JUVENILE FICTION Fantasy & Magic,JUVENILE FICTION Humorous Stories,Juvenile FictionAction & Adventure - General,Juvenile FictionRoyalty,Royalty (kings queens princes princesses knights etc.),Children's BooksAges 9-12 Fiction,Fiction,Juvenile Fiction,Children: Grades 4-6,Science fiction (Children's Teenage)

Loved this series when I was in high school. Good past time book to read when you got nothing else to do like at an airport, car trip, bus ride, or whatever.
Loved them and enjoyed reading, I am at book four and its still very good and keeps you wondering what will happen next.
Loved this book, another great piece of writing in the Septimus Heap series. I loved the descriptions of Snorri's boat, actually, I loved Snorri. She had such a simple view of things and I really liked the way she thought. I hope there is something going on between Nicko (who I also love!) and Snorri, cause they'd make such a cute couple! Anyway, I loved this book. The time travel went over my head a bit (it always does), but otherwise, a perfectly good book that all ages will love if they like fantasy, magic and adventure!
Nice series, interesting enough to keep my adult attention, and totally G-rated. The age suggestion is for 8 years and up, and I think that would be right. I ordered the first three of the series, and I'm looking forward to reading the other four.
I have been reading this series aloud to my kids (ages 11 and 14) and we are all really enjoying it! The books are exciting, well written (though sometimes the sentences seem unnecessarily long and wordy), and my kids are always saying, "Don't stop now, read more!"
Septimus Heap, Book Three by Angie Sage continues the amazing saga of Septimus Heap, young Apprentice Wizard in a land beyond time and it takes the reader, you, there easily. You are there walking through the Palace Gates with Septimus and the ExtraOrdinary Wizard, Marcia Overstrand as they face a new danger. A Sealed Room containing the Portrait of a 500 year old Queen, the dreadful Etheldredda has been UnSealed and her secret plan begins unfolding to the horror of all concerned. In the meantime, Septimus discovers the Palace occupants are getting the Sicknesse spread by the Aie Aie, the Queen Etheldredda's evil creature. Septimus discovers a possible cure, but he must do the unthinkable; travel back in time 500 years to Marcellus Pye, a famous Physik who has his own secret plans for Septimus Heap. In this exciting and dangerous mission everything is at risk and if Septimus fails, all will be lost. Angie Sage weaves an imaginative tale so real you might find yourself looking over your shoulder feeling the icy cold of the wicked Queen Etheldredda breathing down your neck.
As an adult, I enjoy good juvenile fantasy and science fiction. The Septimus Heap series is well written and does not have the tendency to restate activities and character actions multiple times. Readers who enjoy references to passing gas and dragon poo will find plenty of that throughout the books. I particularly like the fact that Angie Sage always ends each book with a wrap up about all the characters and/or events that were encountered throughout the story.
